Meet the Executive Committee

The Australian Aviation Heritage Centre Qld Inc. Executive Committee (EC) meets regularly throughout the year to manage and implement the organisations fiduciary, strategic, and future plans and to ensure that decisions are consistent with the Vision, Mission and Guiding Principles as a Not for Profit organisation. The AAHC Qld Executive Committee is supported by non-executive committee members and volunteers who assist with the day to day work and operations of AAHC Qld Inc at Caboolture Qld.

Ralph Cusack has been a successful Businessman since 1976 and has been involved in the restoration and recovery of a large number of historic aircraft since 1967. He is currently restoring a historically significant Warbird, Beaufort A9-141, at Caboolture Qld, which will be the world’s only flying Beaufort Bomber.

Rod Thiesfield, a banker for forty one years, specialising in the introduction of computer equipment and programs in the latter years of his career, before joining the Beaufort Restoration Group at Hendra in November 2004. Presently Team Leader of the volunteers and recently appointed to Co-ordinator of the DAP Beaufort A9-141 restoration project.

An avid aviation tragic currently working in the aircraft engineering, manufacturing and design space.  A career spanning 38 years so far with a history of fast military jets and commercial aviation.  Looking forward to supporting the Heritage Centre develop a new membership base and support new fundraising initiatives to ensure the continued restoration of aircraft and memorabilia

Alan Whitten is an experienced aviation professional with a long and illustrious career.

It’s exciting to have Alan join the AAHCQLD committee and provide his experience and leadership skills to restore the Wessex Helicopter.
